Donna Laughlin is a Certified Chair Yoga instructor and has been practicing and studying yoga for over 40 years as a way of life. She studied for many years with an internationally renowned teacher, Kris Montigney. She was an international master teacher for Rama Berch, now known as Swami Nirmalananda Swaraswati. The style of yoga is called SVAROOPA developed by Swami.
Prior to yoga, I was a kitchen design business in Connecticut for a few years.
YOGA described a spiritual practice of movement. Now that it is so popularized and present everywhere it has taken on an exercise personality with no spiritual emphasis.
Donna believes that the gentle Supported movement of our body with conscious breathing allows our body, mind, and spirit to blend and balance, allowing us to enter a more meditative state.
Her present passion is teaching people who may feel limited in their movements to expand their mobility. Supported Yoga & movement guidance best describes her class.
Bringing her expertise to others gives her great joy. When she’s not teaching yoga, kitchen design & space planning have been another of her passions for the last 35 years. Donna also cares for her mom who is 98.
